How to Swim Butterfly Well?

If you want to swim butterfly well, keep doing these exercises!

Among the four basic swimming styles, butterfly stroke is called the most difficult to learn by many beginners. Many people can swim freestyle, breaststroke and even backstroke well, but they can't swim butterfly well, even if they master the posture, they cannot complete it with an easy grace. In fact, as long as you master the skills of butterfly stroke, it will not be so difficult to swim butterfly stroke well. Today's Swimming Class, let's share some exercises that can help you practice butterfly stroke well.

1. Stand upside down in water. First of all, you can practice handstand in water, and cultivate your head's feeling of diving into water. Different from handstand on land, handstand in water won't suffer much resistance, so it's not easy to dive into water. In the process, keep your chin close to your neck and your head straight into the water. Compared with the moment that your head is lifted up, it will become much smoother when entering the water.

2. Dolphins jump. Raise your hands, put them together over your head, jump in place, and dive into the water, then keep your body straight, swim forward with the power of jumping, and finally surface from your head. In order to reduce the resistance in water, the body should always be streamlined, and when entering water, try to enter water from one point from the head to the body.

3. Hand-leg cooperation. In butterfly stroke, the arms are moved from left to right at the same time. Arms should be straightened behind, then swing forward and hold the water. When you move your hands to the front, your upper body leans forward slightly. In the butterfly stroke, a dolphin-style kick is adopted, with legs close together, using the strength of the waist and the bending of the body to kick. In complete motions, every time you stroke with your hands, you should kick twice. The first kick was done after the hands entered the water and started to hold the water. When you finish holding water, lift your head up, and when you stretch your arms forward, kick for the second time.

4. Swing your body greatly. Thinking about the dolphin jump, jump out of the water from deep water with reaction force, and then swim butterfly with great swing of the body. If the body swings a lot, you can swim forward without using too much force.

It should be noted that when learning butterfly stroke, do not use the strength of legs to kick, but use the strength of waist to kick. In order to improve the speed of butterfly stroke, it is necessary not only to use the movement of the lower leg below the knee, but also to use the waist to transmit the force to the thighs, knees and ankles, so as to kick the leg greatly.
